Berlioz called Beethoven’s 7th Symphony ‘The Apotheosis of the Dance’ perhaps referring in particular to the exhilarating finale.
By way of an overture there are Mozart’s delightful German Dances. In marked contrast is the Tango by Piazzola followed by one of Bartók’s most attractive works, the set of Rumanian Dances

Doors normally open at 7pm and Interval refreshments are available.
There is a charge of £3 to use the Cathedral car park collected at the entrance gate.
