Orpheus and Eurydice
|
Gluck’s Orpheus is one of the glories of the operatic repertoire. It tells of his descent into the underworld in search of his love, Eurydice, and contains the heart-stopping aria What is life to me without you?
And the enchanting Dance of the Blessed Spirits The Society considers itself very fortunate to be able to engage the same singers who gave a sell-out performance when we last presented this work. This concert has been kindly sponsored by Michael Pitts |
