Three emblematic works from the Classical era contrast with Schwerstik’s witty 1999 ‘take’ on music of that time; a symphony in miniature which was written for exactly the same instrumentation as Beethoven’s op 93. Another symphony of the same era, Schubert’s‘Unfinished’ will be played on 14 November.
