Barbara RuzsicsBarbara Ruzsics graduated at the Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest in 2010, where she gained her masters degree with distinction in Singing and Teaching. Barbara has performed as a soloist with the Hungarian Radio Orchestra and participated in local events such as the Modern Music Festival, the Folk Music Festival and University Concerts.
Naxos recorded Liszt`s Dante Symphony in 2007 with Barbara Ruzsics as the treble soloist. Barbara has attended master classes with Nicolas Clapton, Laszlo Polgar, Krisztina Laki, Nancy Argenta and Eva Marton. She sang scenes from Mozart and Puccini operas at the College of Charleston, South Carolina, in 2007 – 2008 (Pamina in The Magic Flute, Fiordiligi in Cosi fan Tutte and La Badessa in Suor Angelica). She also sang the role of Fiordiligi in the Spoleto Festival, Charleston, in 2008. Barbara Ruzsics was awarded second place in The National Association of Teachers of Singing Competition in Norfolk, Virginia, in April 2008. Since moving to Liverpool in 2010 Barbara has sung in a number of Lieder and Opera concerts around Merseyside. Recent engagements have included Soprano solos in the Messiah, Bach`s St John Passion, Mozart Requiem, The Creation, Role title in Gluck`s Orfeo ed Euridice. Barbara performed as special guest at Liverpool Opera – Four Seasons` debut concert at St George`s Hall 2015 October with the Grammy Award winning Russian soprano Ekaterina Lekhina. She is a regular performer at Hope University Concerts Liverpool, Music for All Concert Series at the Metropolitan Cathedral, Liverpool and she is a member of the Liverpool Bach Collective lead by Philip Duffy. |
