The statue has been restored and now stands in Hope Street Sept 2015 More info & pictures soon
The marble statue has been in this unprotected state since the early 1980's Originally listed by English Heritage, it was "de-listed" so that it could be removed for "protection" Recent damaged is evident where the original white marble shows, and the broken marble fragments on the floor and placed on the plinth The citizens of Liverpool paid for this monument, which has not been publicly displayed since the early 1980's
