Amsterdam Tour 2005 by the Cathedral Cantata Choir
Here is the transcript of a letter received at the Cathedral: Dear Sir,
Last Saturday my wife and I were in Haarlem, where we visited the Grote Kerk at approximately 1-45. There quite unexpectedly, we enjoyed one of the most sublime musical experiences of our lives. We came in just as your choir moved into position to sing a "call and response" item.
I have no idea what it was called or who the composer was but at the end my wife and I turned to each other, to find both of us had tears in our eyes. Your choir continued to sing with such clarity passion and beauty that made the next twenty minutes the high-light of our weeks trip to Amsterdam.
We would like to thank you and the choir for making our visit to an already impressive location such a moment of serendipity. Please pass on our thanks and best wishes and hopes that others will continue to enjoy moments of such pleasure through your hard work
Yours sincerely J Gardiner
