Here, in this wide-ranging programme, is a chance to find out. Gibbons’ London is alive with activity in contrast to the Copland which evokes a place of empty streets and lonely people.

Rossini’s Italian girl is a very spirited young woman. His overture was written less than twenty years after the Symphony Haydn wrote for London.

With the shanties we come home to Liverpool via a brief visit to the evocative city of Londonderry.

Concerts in the Cathedral

Parking  The Cathedral Car Park accessed from Mount Pleasant is under the cathedral with direct access to the concert venue by lift or stairs. Limited capacity on a first come first served basis.   A charge of £3.00 is payable on arrival.

Doors open at 7pm

Access for Concerts in the Cathedral is through the main doors or underground car park 

Access for the Disabled   is via the lift in the lower porch from the underground car park shown 

Toilets  Located in the lower porch of the Cathedral

Refreshments    are available in the Gibberd Room in the lower porch during the interval at most events
