David started his singing career late on when he joined St Faiths Choir in Crosby as a Countertenor at the age of 14. He then progressed to the Anglican Cathedral Choir under the Direction of the then Organist and Master of the Choristers Prof Ian Tracey and remained there for 4 years until he left to pursue a career in Musical Theatre.
David has worked for many of the UKs Tour operators as Lead Male Vocalist within their Entertainment/Production Teams. David has also performed in many musicals around England, from London’s West End through to the Liverpool Empire. David has now come back to his roots and to where his heart truly is, and has now been singing with the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral Choir since September 2011 under the Direction of Dr Christopher McElroy (Master of Music). http://www.liverpoolmetrocathedral.org.uk/music/the-choirs He is regularly featured as a soloist with the Cathedral Choir and is also a member of the Liverpool Bach Collective Directed by Mr Philip Duffy and performs many of Bach’s Cantatas throughout the year. https://www.facebook.com/liverpoolbachcollective Over the years David has performed as tenor soloist in many Messiahs around the north west through to Hymn of praise (Mendelssohn), Bach St Marks Passion (North West premier) to name a few. |
