An evening of romance in all its joy and, sometimes, heartache. The Cantata Choir and Kirsty Ligertwood (piano), bring you music and poetry to celebrate every mood of love.
We travel to the Vienna of Strauss, the Paris of Debussy, to Spain and Hungary with songs and dances which – in Byron’s words – tell of “the first kiss of love and its remembrance”. From Ireland there is Danny Boy, from South America comes Libertango. Along the way we meet D'Indy, Trenet, Brahms and more. Is there anyone who has not been touched by love?
